We went to see the Afro Cuban All Stars and boy were we glad! I kind of forgot for a while the magic of live music. I use my rdio app and play records at home but nothing replaces the magic, the energy and the synchronism that live music provides. It definitely sparked the fire that we need to do this more often. They were fantastic. We set a blanket on the floor and picnicked some La Boulange.
Mark Jacinto and I danced along side an amazing couple that I'm pretty sure were professional dancers. It was very cute to watch my son trying to emulate their steps. Dominika and daddy were doing their own thing. They truly melt my heart these days with their special bond.
It was a fun and relaxed evening with my familia. I couldn't help but feel a lot of pride in how beautiful our latino heritage, culture and music is. As always it was a pleasure to see the diversity of people from very young to very old having a great time and moving to the rhythms of one beat.
